Is the translation of Matthew 12:1 that Jesus' disciples were plucking and
eating corn on the Sabbath and Jesus wasn't, or could the word "his"
(disciples) refer to "themselves"? Was Jesus maintaining the letter of
the law even while he denied its validity, or would such a distinction be
consciously made on this verse?
