Dear Listers,
I forgot to mention, in either of my previous posts about the newly-
available LSJM Lexicon with the new Supplement by Glare, a wonderful
improvement.
Within the text of the Lexicon proper, in every instance of there
being something in the Supplement about the word or form, there is printed
just before the word or form a small five-pointed star with a circle around
it, Thus you always know whether to bother turning back to the Supplement
for later information.
In some cases, articles have been compleely rewritten; and much,
much new information is included, including many words not found in the
main body of the Lexicon. Mycenaean and Cyprian entries are now included.
The Supplement was done under the dirction of the British Academy,
and the present edition is probably the best Greek Lexicon available in any
language. If you can possibly afford it, buy it now, on the cheap!
