Re: A Little Greek

I understand that Bill Mounce is working on a "baby Greek" grammar. If you
are out there, Mr. (Dr.?) Mounce, I'd/we'd be curious as to what you believe
is minimally essential in such a textbook (and also when your textbook might
be ready). Seeing the church group I taught last year using Mounce's BBG
drop from 16 people to 2-1/2 by the end of the year, I am eager to find a way
to teach more people less Greek, something that would move them past Strong's
Concordance and Vine's Expository Dictionary. Jim Founds (?) (Bethany Pub.)
wrote a BASIC GREEK IN 30 MINUTES A DAY, and I worked through the first 20
chapters before I took a real college Greek course--he was just getting into
some grammar at that point, I recall--up till then it was mostly learning
vocabulary (a lot of cognates); I don't know how well his book would work for
teaching people "a little Greek." Anyone else use it?
