Boy am I a little Greek, but I think every sample you provided carries
undertones of "face to face with", especially "while I was still with you."
Don't you think Jesus got in his disciples' faces now and then? Even so, we
have to be careful to not read too much into prepositions, especially. There
are nuances to different meanings that not even the most dedicated multilayer
writer would have thought of. If the Bible writers had meant everything
exegetes sometimes credit them with saying (example - the Amplified Bible),
they would never have made any sense - even to themselves!
