Under the heading " Position Profile", the following appeared recently on
this list:

>> Candidates should have degrees and experience commiserate with
appointment at the associate professor level or higher. <<

Is it commensurate with the importance of the post advertised that I am
allowed to commiserate with any candidate who may be interviewed by someone
whose grasp of the English language is so tenuous?
