query for classicists

Greetings!

For the many New Testament/Koine Greek scholars among us (self-included)
who have no Classical background in Greek and, stuck within the confines
of reality, no practical way of acquiring any Classical Greek schooling
at this juncture, are there any recommendations from yon classicists as
to how we can "bone up" on some classical grammar on our own? Would
buying a copy of Smythe and trying to integrate out Greek grammatical
training with the terms and categories of Smythe be helpful, or would
that be a futile effort without scholastic exposure to classical Greek?
Any other suggestions?

God's Peace and Godspeed!
