A good dictionary will help here. LSJ is available to those who can surf
the net. The BAGD is helpful. For beginners, they should consult the
dictionaries regarding how to translate these verbs (some call deponents,
but see an earlier post from Carl Conrad on these).
APEKRIQNV should be translated "I answered." Bauer says that if there a
difference between APEKRIVAMNV (aorist middle, not active) and APEKRIQNV it
is that the middle implies a solemn or legal utterance. It is translated
in the NT "I answered."

Because its deponent or considered by Carl to be simply a non-thematic
aorist that later developed a passive sense in some verbs.

I heard George Caird when he cited this as an example of being "not a true
passive." Carl would say that it is the natural use of the non-thematic
aorist in QH I think. I would translate it "for he has been raised
(culminative) as he said."
