B-Greek now has a web site!

B-Greek now has a web site at http://sunsite.unc.edu/bgreek.

It has the following:

o Threaded archives, indexed by subject, date, thread
o Automatic subscribe/unsubscribe to B-Greek or the digest
by pushing buttons
o The B-Greek FAQ
o Transliteration

I will probably separate the archives into sections which each contain about
1500 messages or so, since the indexes get large when you get this many
messages, and loading them takes a long time. If anyone has preferences
here, let me know.

The indexes are currently a little out of kilter, and I'll have to
regenerate them at the end of the week. Any feedback on the web site is
always welcome. I'm not committing myself to doing anything unless I have
time, though, since I want to keep the web site as low maintenance as possible.

In the foreseeable future, I want to add two more features:

o Full text indexing
o Automatic updates

The automatic updates require a little work, but would essentially have the
mailing list subscribe to b-greek and automatically add a message to the
archive whenever one is received. Please don't ask me to define 'foreseeable
future', I'm a software professional, and any forecasts we make about
completing projects are completely unreliable ;->
