Am I correct in saying that people in the Graeco-Roman world were regarded
as "hot" or "cold" in a sense that is different to the way we mean them?
Any good source(s) for such thinking?

In those terms, what would an audience understand on hearing that Peter's
mother-in-law was puresoussa (Mk 1:30)?

Pardon my interest in hot women, especially hot mother-in-laws! By the way,
mother-in-laws are surrounded with a taboo in many societies which have
very strict codes of conduct between son- and mother- in law. Also true in
Jewish circles?
