Re: hHMIN, hUMIN : were both pronounced the *same* ?

My abundant thanks to Stephen and to Michael Holmes for providing a heap of
information in response to my rather petulant question regarding
information regarding the progress of itacism as it bears on the like
pronunciation of hHMIN and hUMIN. While I have some reservations about some
of the conclusions Sidney Allen draws about Greek pronunciation at
particular times and places, his book has to be the starting place for
seeking answers to these questions.
