I can't believe I wrote that! Carlton is, of course, absolutely right;
AUTOUS cannot be governed by the infinitive EPIKALEISQAI; it MUST be
understood as an object of EPAISCUNETAI, although I wonder whether it is
really so much a direct object as an acc. of respect, as EPAISCUNOMAI tends
to be intransitive.
