I have been teaching portions of 1 John in my Elementary Greek class
for several semesters. I would like to see some examples of the
"epistolary aorist" in 1st c. papyri -- if anyone knows where I could
find them.
Also comments on whether the aorists in 1 John 2:14 should be
considered epistolary would be welcome. I've read the comments of
Robertson, Turner, and Wallace on these considerations.

BAGD under PEMPW cites the Oxyrhynchus Papyri; Blass-Debrunner-Funk
cites Deissmann's "Light from the Ancient East," and Turner's
"Syntax" cites Mayser in a way the promises to refer in turn to
papyrii exx. The references in the grammars, of course, appear in the
section on the epistolary aorist.
This is all I have been able to locate in the way of papyrii usage in
the time available to me at the moment. Whether any of these exx.
will be first-century, of course, I can't say.
