Though the bulk of Eric Weiss's question was not about Acts 15:17,
I still want to draw attention to the superb article on this text
by Richard Bauckham in _History, Literature and Society in the Book
of Acts_, (ed. Ben Witherington, III; CUP, 1996). Bauckham lays out
a convincing case for a very sophisticated kind of interpretive
citation going on here.
