It's fairly clearly meant to be "green" I think. The three other places
that the word is used in the NT (Mk 6:39; Rev 9:4, 8:07) it's used to
describe the color of grass.
Likewise, the use of the word to mean "sickly pale" is pretty well
established, also (cf the modern "green around the gills"). Constantine
Chloros, i.e. "The Green" --who was Constantine the Great's dad-- was
so-called because he possessed this peculiar tint to his skin.
