Apparently this question is of no interest to the list, since it
hasn't generated any response other than mine. I just wanted to make
a minor correction to my earlier post, in which I called
DOKIMAZESQWSAN an iterative present. Probably "customary" is the
better usage category, though the line between the two can be rather
fine. The iterative category could suggest that an individual deacon
must be approved over and over again, or periodically. The customary
use more clearly captures the idea that each individual deacon, as a
matter of custom, must be approved before assuming his duties.
