I do not know of any work specifically on this. I do think that the
Louw-Nida lexicon might have some useful material. And Chceck your library
for works by Othmar Keel. He has done a great deal on symbolism of all
kinds in a series of OT books.

And the following book could also be useful, even though it does not
specifically address your concerns:

Silvia Schroer and Thomas Staubli, DIE KOERPER-SYMBOLIL DER BIBEL.
Darmstadt: Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft, 1998. 276 pp. A fascinating
work that I am slowly working through in my spare time.
