Further, the denigration of exegetical method is simply an effort to ignore
or bypass the difficult work of understanding a text in its own context.
For anyone to suggest that "I do not take seriously any exegesis that
focuses on particular verbal forms" (or words to that effect)is disengenuous
at best and pure deceit at worst. It is the text that matters- not your
reading of it.
