Good point.  I suppose the relative weight of the stylistic difficulty
and the conceptual difficulty would depend on how much the scribe[s]
responsible for the change were thinking about its meaning.
Tonight at home I'd like to look up how this relates to the more minor
variants in the same verse, some MSS reading BASILEION, and some
reading IERATEUMA, so I can get a better perspective.
