In attempting to learn some Greek by reading the Apocalypse two questions have occurred to me: 1. 'Eucharist' (Rev. 7:12) means 'thanksgiving'. How, when and why did it become a synonym for the Holy Communion service ? 2. The four 'zoa' of Rev. 4 (based on Ezekiel 1) have become the symbols of the four evangelists. How, when and why ?
