Elementary Greek Grammars

I am still interested to know if anyone has used Efird's new
elementary Greek grammar as a textbook.  Also, since classical
Greek has been an item lately, could someone please comment
on beginning classical grammars.  I am aware of Crosby and Shaefer (sp?),
and also the 1978 _Reading Greek_ published by Cambridge Univ. press
for the Joint Association of Classical Teachers' Greek Course (2 vols).
Is the latter the new standard in classical introduction, or shall
I look  for another?
