New Welcome Message for NT-GREEK

Dear Networker Interested In New Testament Greek,

Your subscription to list NT-GREEK (New Testament Greek) Conference has
been accepted.

You may leave the list at any time by sending a "UNSUBscribe NT-GREEK"
request to NT-GREEK-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU. Please note that this
request must NOT be sent to the list address (NT-GREEK@VIRGINIA.EDU)
but to the REQUEST address (NT-GREEK-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU).

You are currently subscribed to receive messages immediately as
they arrive. This volume of mail may prove annoying. There is
an alternative of receiving periodic digests of the list's activity.
To receive only the digested format of NT-GREEK send the message:

   DIGEST NT-GREEK

to the REQUEST address (NT-GREEK-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU). To change
back to the immediate format of BIBLE send the command:

   IMMEDIATE NT-GREEK

to the REQUEST address (NT-GREEK-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU). If you want
to receive *both* the immediate messages of BIBLE and their
digested format send the command:

   IMMEDIATE-AND-DIGEST NT-GREEK

to the REQUEST address (NT-GREEK-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU).

NT-GREEK is an electronic conference designed to foster communication
concerning the scholarly study of the Greek New Testament. Anyone
interested in New Testament Studies is invited to subscribe, but the list
will assume at least a working knowledge of Biblical Greek. Those
interested in learning to study the Bible more personally and less
exclusively academic should join the BIBLE list
(BIBLE-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU).

Contributions sent to this list are automatically broadcast to everyone
else on the list. If you wish to reply to an individual member
of the list please send that person mail directly. If you use your
systems automatic REPLY feature your message will get sent *only* to the
individual member and *not* broadcast to the entire list.

Remember two simple rules-of-thumb:

If it's a request (SUBscribe, UNSUBscribe),
send it to the list requester:
      NT-GREEK-REQUEST@VIRGINIA.EDU (Internet)
      NTGRKREQ@VIRGINIA.BITNET (Bitnet)

If it's a message for general distribution to the members of the
list, send it to the list:
      NT-GREEK@VIRGINIA.EDU (Internet)
      NT-GREEK@VIRGINIA.BITNET (Bitnet)

The list is supported by the University of Virginia. Our thanks to
their management and staff for permission to use their system for the
list and for assistance in setting it up. The opinions expressed do
not reflect those of the University.

The list is sponsored by the the Center for Christian Study, an
independent Christian ministry at the University of Virginia. The Center
for Christian Study has been dedicated to providing quality Christian
Education since its inception in 1976. The main purposes of the Center
are to maintain a caring University outreach ministry and to encourage
Chrisitians (and others) to think serious about the Christian faith.
