Criteria



My colleagues in English tells me that Shakespeare scholars *do*
dispute about additions or modifications to the folios.  If
memory serves, classics scholars also dispute about recensions of
Homer.
 
Perhaps more to the point is whether one is going to be critical
of the texts (and also, necessarily, of one's own methodology) or
not.  The question of the authentic text is a theological one,
and Bob Funk (Westar's founder) knows that.
