errors in mss

An interesting question. I have been doing some work with Dr. Gu"ting
on Asyndeton. Somewhere I have some figures on the number of asyndeta
in Rom and !-2 Cor which acquired secondary particles in 8 major mss.
Some mss tended to lose particles, some to gain them, and in varying
proportions. Dr. G. did the text critical work and I did some of the
analysis of the resulting lists.

What is true for particles may not be true for other features.

Mss were in use for long periods - some of the corrected hands are thought to
be centuries later than the original hands. In fact we decided to disregard
all corrected hands for this reason when counting, though the details are in
our lists for reference purposes.
