Actually, I thought that the original post queried whether much
had been written on ambiguity in texts. I was simply trying to
say "yes."
I don't think that texts can "actually" be disambiguated, but I
can show you 1000's (millions?) of pp. of commentaries (not to
mention posts to this list!) implicitly claiming to do that. My
experience is that these clarifications often render the text
uninteresting.
I take offense at the ad hominem against poststructuralist
critics -- as though others are somehow more sincere (fat
chance!).
