OK. The Dead Sea Scrolls are not necessarily always the most trustworthy reading, as I understand it. Their age is convincing, but the fact that they were written by an unusual sect creates a sense of doubt. This is especially true since this passage is capable of a messianic interpretation, and the Qumran sect had their strong and unique messianic notions. Greg Jordan jordan@chuma.cas.usf.edu
