This may be irrelevant to the discussion of Jn 1:1 and 
Exod 3, but note that at Mk 13:6, Jesus says, "Many will come in
my name, saying, `I am he!' [)EGW/ EI)MI]."  Then at Mk 14:62
Jesus uses this phrase again to answer the high priest's
question, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?"  Here the
name or identity of Jesus is associated not with QEOS (or with )O
ON) but instead, and perhaps paradoxically, with )EGW/ EI)MI.
