Once more, you are exactly right -- for Paul, ALL sin is idolatry,
and all the "transgressions" of humanity are consequences, inevitable
results of idolatry.
Of course, today's interpreters have difficulty with this, due to
the "Not-calling-a-space-a-spade Syndrome": We can't call a god "god,"
so we can't call idolatry "idolatry." Alkas! It is all due to the death
of God -- in language, that is.
