unfortunately I have had to abandon my studies in Greek syntax for
awhile, since teaching is using up way too much time. but for anyone
who has time, following up on Palmer's "Levels of Constituent
Structure in New Testament Greek", there are some important sources I
came across for nominal syntax in Greek (apparently very similar to
the Biblical variety).
1. "Themes in Greek Linguistics" 1994. eds Philippaki-Warburton,
Nicolaidis, Sifianou. in Current Issues in Linguistic Theory, no.
117. John Benjamins.
there are some articles on NPs/DPs and related questions.
2. "Modern Greek" 1987. in the Croom Helm Descriptive Grammars Series,
with a systematic database. by Joseph and Philipakki-Warburton.
if anyone comes across similar material from the late '90s, I'd
really appreciate the refs. thanks.
