List,
Can GAR ever introduce extreme examples of a general assertion? An example
in English would be:
Children like sweets more than vegetables
        since (GAR)
they do no know about nutrition,
        moreover (GAR)
some children refuse vegetables altogether just to upset their parents.
[now everyone knows what my major battle was today :-) ]

Can GAR have the sense of "moreover" in this third clause? BAGD comes close
to saying this (GAR, 4) but stops short of "moreover."

Thanks in advance,
 Brent Hudson
