Hello all:

I haven't really kept up with the discussion on 1 Timothy 2:15, but since I
catalog books here in Baylor's library I often find stuff related to
discussions on the list. Has anyone seen Stanley E. Porter's _Studies in
the Greek New Testament_ (New York: Peter Lang, 1996)? He has a chapter
(ch. 13, pp. 255ff.) entitled "What does it mean to be saved by childbirth
(1 Timothy 2:15)?" Although I haven't had opportunity to read it yet, this
book looks interesting. Other chapters include In Defense of Verbal Aspect
(ch.2), The Greek of the New Testament as a Disputed Area of Research
(ch.5), Did Jesus Ever Teach in Greek? A Look at Scholarly Opinion and the
Evidence (ch.8), and Wittgenstein's Classes of Utterances and Pauline
Ethical Texts: A Study of Galatians 3:28-29 in Context (ch.12). I'd love
to hear if anyone else has seen or read this book and what opinions you all
may have!

Thanks,
