Dear Carl,

"Somehow, by the grace of God, some people learn Greek in spite of those who
teach it."

This should be posted in large gold letters over the door of all of us who
venture to teach Greek!

Your Absolutely last word on Absolutes was a gem!

It is amazing how many of those whose only Greek is the New Testament
cannot allow for any looseness or sloppiness in its writers, but must
create a special "Rule" or category of syntax to cover every instance of
inelegance or casualness [that new word is covered under the "Hobbs Rule"]
found in Matthew, or by the amazing author of Ephesians (and some "think he
*is* Paul," so there!).

Edward
