I just read your response to James Vallenga and as always like much, if not
all of what you say. One comment - my first impulse with KHRUCQENTOS followed
by EN PASHI KTISEI is to take the EN construction as equivalent to the
person addressed which is more often a simple dative as in "announced to all/
entire creation". I could find better examples if I looked but I am mindful
of the balanced clauses in 1Cor 14.11 ESOMAI TWi LALOUNTI BARBAROS KAI (O
LALWN EN EMOI BARBAROS where TWi LALOUNTI and EN EMOI are clearly equivalent
datives of respect "I will be barbaros for the person speaking and the
person speaking will be barbarosto/for me".

I recall BlasDebrunnerFunk having an entry on EN + dative for a person a
person addressed but don't have the grammar near me. What do you think?
