Greetings, S.M. Baugh:

I read your Mar 5 comment and wanted to respond. In saying that Jesus
is the shepherd of the sheep, we may regard 'shepherd' as a noun of
ruling in relation to the object controled (sheep). However, a
different 'noun of ruling' might better be viewed as a kind of
reciprocal social relation, as in 'the king of the English' - i.e. he
is their lord and they are his subjects. With PRWTOTOKOS PASHS
KTISEWS, perhaps the relation is better similarly described as
denoting a reciprocal social relation.
