Are you absolutely sure that the copyright on Machen has expired?

Are you sure Machen's heirs didn't file the extension?

Copyright laws have changed radically in the last twenty years. Which set
of laws govern Machen?

I would love to see the book on-line (really, I would), but I would be very
careful before doing so without legal counsel.
