Dear B-greekers
The response to my question on Matt27:65 appears to be that reading
backwards from the Vulgate into the Greek is not a valid scientific
approach. Fair enough :-)
This time going from Greek into Hebrew. Does anyone have experience
with S. Krauss _Griechische und Lateinische Lehnworter im Talmud_ 1899
or know of another study that would show how and when loanwords like
KOUSTWDIA, SPEIRA, CILIARCOS were used in Rabbinical literature?
Thanks
Steven
