I've used Hanson and Quinn and basically I like it and so have my
students.

In terms of your other questions, I'm the opposite. I come from a
Classical background, and just comparing notes with those that aren't, my
experience has been that for those familiar with Classical literature
Koine is much easier to read and deal with than those who only learn NT
Greek and then try to read Hebrews for example or other Greek lit have a
much more difficult time.

Anyway, that's the quick answer.
