 When I was a schoolboy leearning Latin, we had a cartoon picture of a
 migratory bird flying along with a suitcase firmly clutched in its claws,
 talking over its shoulder to another bird flying alongside:
 
 "I agree with you entirely, Auntie; but I carry my case in my own claws".
 The *relative* pronoun agrees in all respects with its "auntie"-cedent,
 but keeps its *grammatical* case in its own *clause*.

 Neat, I thought...
