These are direct citations from the LXX of (I believe, (1) the prophecy of
Nathan to David in 2 Sam 7 and (2) the redemptive part of the prophecy of
Hosea wherein "Lo-Ammi," ("Not my people") the third(?) child generated by
the whoredom of Israel with the Baals is to become "Ammi" ("my people").
I'm no Hebrew scholar, but my recollection is that the Hebraic use of the
verb HAYAH with the preposition L' and a noun is equivalent to the Greek
use of GI(G)NOMAI with a predicate word in the nominative. In these LXX
citations the Hebrew is translated into literal Greek so that instead of
EGW GENHSOMAI AUTWi PATHR, we get EGW ESOMAI AUTWi EIS PATERA. (2 Sam 7:14
ANI EHYEH L'O L'AV, pardon my transliteration). At any rate here the Hebrew
L'O becomes the Greek dative AUTWi, while the Hebrew L'AV becomes EIS
PATERA.
