Have a look at the introductions to these books in James Charlesworth's
_Old Testament Pseudepigrapha_. That, as well as the relevant articles
in the Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible_(IDB), and The Anchor Bible
Dictionary (ABD), should get you started.
