You must obtain "Das Markusevangelium" by Rudolf Pesch (2 vol) in the Herder
Theologischer Kommentar series. It is thorough, intense, and brilliant. The
author offers a translation of the Greek text, textual notes, historical
notes, and commentary on each pericope. Pesch's familiarity with the
secondary literature is amazing.
The publisher is the Herder Verlag, Freiburg
ISBN 3-451-17336-0 (bd 1)
ISBN 3-451-17975-X (bd 2)
