John or Jim;
This post leads to another question in my mind. Does the word group related to
PISTIS always require action? Or can belief/trust which seems to me to be a
function of the mind be separated from action in response which seems to be a
function of the will? Or is it impossible to make this distinction based on the
semantic range of the word? I'm having trouble here with the statement that there
doesn't seem to be any involvement of the cognitive process. Relate this especially
to John's Gospel with its PISTEUO+EIS formula.
