Does a translation of "take courage, it is I" obscure a better translation
of "Fear not, I am"?
I realize the theological implications of the second translation, as well
as, I realize this is not the proper place for that discussion.
My concern is, someone presented this to me as their translation of this
passage and I was skeptical of it.
Is it, acceptable literal Greek, but poor English? Any other thoughts are
welcome and appreciated.
Thanks
