Regarding the report about an early papyrus fragment of Hebrews:
>
>Amphilochios Papathomas has found fragments of the
>Epistle to the Hebrews in the Oesterreichische
>Nationalbibliotek Papyrussammlung in Wien. He dates them
><100 A.D. [ P. Vindob. G42417]. This is an exciting find.
>Consider the Magdalen Barcelona, and Paris fragments!
>This was announced in Trouw (a major Dutch newspaper)
>late last week.

According to a message sent by Papathomas to another list, the report in the
Dutch newspaper is substantially inaccurate. The small fragment (3,3 x 5,2
cm), which preserves portions of Heb 2:9-11 and 3:3-6, is to be dated, he
says, almost certainly to the 6th or 7th century.
