<x-charset ISO-8859-1>Dear Daniel,

I have two books from "Good Books" and basically agree with the posted
comments. As to the number of pages of the original book copied to each page
of the "new" book here is the statement from the "Gook Books" catalogue:

"Each volume is a quality photocopy (xerox) with 2 pages per side. Those
which are described as "large pages" are from folios or quartos, and have
only 1page per side. Some have been enlarged or reduced in size. All books
are clothbound (hardback) in black buckram with thesis-sewn bindings to meet
usual library standards. All volumes measure 8 1/2 by 11 inches. In a few
cases, 2 or more titles are bound together, such as in a series. Some are in
short supply and may be back-ordered."

In the two books I have (Syriac content) all the text is readable. That it
is a photocopy is unmistakable and the edges of the copied pages appear as
the thin black line characteristic of such work. Also not all pages are
aligned correctly. Overall, I am satisfied with the books I have, I doubt I
would have been able to obtain them otherwise which it seems is what "Good
Books" is mostly about.

In their "Terms of Sale" an item that may interest you states that "Foreign
customers must pay in US dollars by a check drawn on a US bank" and also
"Postage is . . . 15% for foreign customers" (10% US customers).

Best,
