[My colleague John Kutsko provides the following:] James D. Snyder has
received both critical acclaim and commercial success with All God's
Children, a historical novel covering the years 31-71 c.e. The following
volumes, among others, have successfully applied historical fiction to
ancient and biblical texts: Walter Wangerin Jr., The Book of God; James A.
Michener, The Source; Sholem Asch, The Nazarene; Robert Graves, King Jesus;
and Milton Steinberg, As a Driven Leaf.
