I trust that they will help younger students think more clearly about
Greek.
The 'question' of '8' versus '5' is a non-issue.
(summarizing:
there are 5 form-categories of nouns
and as many notional categories as one cares to slice
[and approximately eight ETYMOLOGICAL form-categories from another
language, PRE-Greek]).
Students are better off discussing the
background and the "why's" of linguistic methodologies in general, which is
what your posts point towards.
