[b-greek] AUTOU in John 9:6

Greetings. My query concerns word order in John 9 - the position of genitive
personal pronouns. The first example is in Jn. 9:6: KAI EPECRISEN AUTOU TON
PHLON EPI TOUS OFQALMOUS... The genitive personal pronoun precedes rather
than follows the word it modifies by possession. This pattern then recurs in
the chapter in verses 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 21, 26, and 30. The construction
modified by possession is always either EPI TOUS OFQALMOUS or TOUS OFQALMOUS.

So what's going on here? Why does the genitive personal pronoun precede
OFQALMOS in John 9 so consistently? Does this particular word order tend to
emphasize the pronoun or the word "eyes"?
