Well, the message I got last evening from B & N gave me an earlier date:
>>Expected Ship Date) 12/02/2000<<
Perhaps I got my order in earlier?

However, I never did expect to get it for $42, since my original on-line
invoice stated:
$52.00 Net Product
$0.00 Gift Wrap
$0.00 Tax
$5.95 Shipping
--------------
$57.95 Total Order Price
$10.00 Dollar Off Coupon
$47.95 Credit Card

I wouldn't clutter the list with these details were it not for that entry
about the Coupon -- it came to me in an e-mail, presumably because I
registered with them when I first bought a book; it's valid until
Christmas, and perhaps it may be worth asking them about it if yo have
bought other books from them.
