I would recommend the Nestle-Aland text, "Novum Testamentum Graece" (27th
edition). You might also consider getting hold of "A Grammatical Analysis
of the Greek New Testament" by Max Zerwick and Mary Grosvenor (Loyola
Press, 800-621-1008). It gives a verse by verse help with vocabulary and
syntax. I studied classical Greek in college also, and I still use my copy
of Smyth-Messing (a classical "Greek Grammar") and my Liddell & Scott
lexicons for the study of the New Testament (even though I also have
grammars and lexicons for the NT).
