[b-greek] Acts 9:31 - Church(es)

Dear B-Greekers,

Hopefully, this question is not beyond the scope of the list's purpose. My
question is more of a text critical one than a Greek language question. Can
anyone shed any light on why Acts 9:31 should contain the singular EKKLHSIA
versus the plural EKKLHSIAI? (I hope that transliteration is correct.)

If this is beyond the scope of this list, could someone point me to another
source on the internet that might deal with text critical issues?

Thanks,
Neal Stublen
